MODERATOR PROTOCOLS

Hi there and welcome to the Omega League Community Discord! To ensure this server remains a premier destination for competitive gaming, we ask that you adhere to the following rules. Let’s all work together to make this a league like no other!

Community Conduct

Respect every operator, on and off the battlefield. Treat banter as mutual fun and step back when someone draws a boundary.

  • Listen to Moderators. If you are asked to stop a particular behavior, please listen and adapt. Moderator directives are final.
  • No Hate Speech or Harassment. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, bigotry, slurs, harassment of any kind, and excessive toxicity.
  • Protect Private Information. Do not share any personal, sensitive, or confidential information about yourself or others. This includes real names, phone numbers, addresses, passwords, and financial information.

Moderator Authority

Moderators de-escalate first and enforce second. Decisions are final in the moment; appeals follow after action is taken.

  • No NSFW or Illegal Content. Do not post links or material that is Not Safe For Work (NSFW) or illegal in any form.
  • Keep Discussions on Topic. This is a community for gaming. Avoid prominent political or other sensitive topics that are not relevant to the league.

Competitive Integrity

Play with registered rosters, approved settings, and honest intent. Competitive integrity keeps the league fair for everyone.

  • No Unauthorized Marketing. Do not spam marketing or self-promotional links. You may post your personal stream links in the appropriate channels, but do not spam them.
  • No Impersonation. Do not impersonate any other member, moderator, or administrator.
  • Violations of these rules will be handled according to the Moderator Protocols and are classified into Levels 1-4 based on severity.

Guidance For The Mod Team

De-escalation comes first. Keep these principles in mind before issuing sanctions.

Statement of Purpose

Moderators (mods) ensure the daily security and functioning of the League’s Discord Server and prioritize de-escalation over reactionary steps. Mods will always provide feedback after taking action, explaining what was done and why. Follow-up questions should occur via DM.

On Banter

Please assume good intention when engaging in “banter.” Most interpersonal issues can be resolved as long as both parties agree to engage in light-hearted fun. However, if a line is crossed, the impact on the recipient outweighs the intent of the person who made the comment. If someone asks you to stop, the banter ends immediately. If it escalates to a rule violation, it will be handled according to the offense levels below.

Offense Levels & Actions

This system directly links the severity of an offense to its immediate consequence.
